Burns Mechanical continues to grow and we have an immediate opportunity for an Account Executive in Philadelphia, PA and surrounding regions.  Under general direction, this person will primarily market and promote energy services, design-build, and design-assist contracting to commercial, healthcare, higher education and industrial markets.

Account Executive responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • With minimal supervision, sells the Burns Mechanical offerings – particularly focused on energy services, design-build, and design-assist delivery methods to private entities including but not limited to; commercial, healthcare, higher education, and industrial markets.
  • Identify, sell, renew or expand service agreements as part of a bundled offering.
  • Coordinate and perform duties and responsibilities such as lead generation, customer services, proposal development, customer acquisition and coordinating the start of projects.
  • Respond to Request for Proposals and Request for Qualifications.
  • Self-generate leads within the identified vertical markets and geographical regions.
  • Leverage all of the Burns Mechanical and McClure Company offerings to generate leads and cultivate additional opportunities.
  • Facilitate complex technical and financial solutions unique to each opportunity in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Identify project goals and timelines to maximize project development and engineering resources.
  • Guide clients through project financing and contracting processes.
  • Develop and maintain a sales plan for identifying project opportunities and other services identified by the customer.

Technical skills & attributes required:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal, written, computer communication and technical presentation skills.
  • Strong needs-based sales skills.
  • Knowledge of building infrastructure systems and energy analysis.
  • Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related discipline required.PE and / or MBA preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience including previous leadership, sales, and marketing with a related organization.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
