Burns Mechanical is pleased to announce the recent hiring of three professionals who will serve key positions helping the firm continue its pattern of growth in High Performance Building Services.  Mike Juliana, Sebastian Hollabaugh and Mary Conrad all joined the firm during the second quarter of 2016.

Mike Juliana is an industry veteran with over three decades of experience.  He has joined Burns in the role of Senior Project Manager.  Mr. Juliana has worked with some of the most notable projects and clients in the region, including: the Comcast Center, Merck facilities, Drexel University, Parx Casino, Philadelphia Family Court, Harrah’s Casino, Temple University, and Thomas Jefferson University.  He is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Sebastian Hollabaugh has joined the firm as Project Engineer.  In that role, he will provide mechanical design functions, energy engineering, cost estimating, and various other preconstruction duties.  He is a recent graduate of the Architectural Engineering program at Penn State University.  His work experience includes providing engineering and commissioning services to Penn State’s Office of Physical Plant.  He served as president of his engineering fraternity, and danced in the THON™2016, an event for the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, benefitting the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer.

Mary Conrad has joined the firm as Assistant Project Manager.  She is a recent graduate of Drexel University, earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  She gained interest in an HVAC career as an outcome of her cooperative education experience in the Building Systems Operations Department at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  She also worked as an Engineering Technician creating CAD models and completing engineering analysis in the aerospace industry.  Ms. Conrad won several academic scholarships as a student at Drexel. She served her community as a robotics mentor for students at Central High School and the Philadelphia High School for Girls.
